Best damn trailer I have ever bought. Walked in off the street, was greeted with a smile. Salesman answered every question without hesitation and sold me exactly what I was after. Even offered to deliver the trailer as my car was in the shop even though they dont offer this service. Best experience I have ever had, couldnt be happier.

Easy to deal with, Price is as good as you can get, quality is what I expected, the basics are great, the finish no so much ( weld splatter everywhere, mig wire left in place, metal cuts left unfinished but all galvanized so I left alone ), but I will update in 10 years when this thing is still going strong!, no complaints.

There’s not much in it nowadays. Features are common across many manufacturers and trailer shopping is actually quite a pain in the rear. This is despite knowing precisely what I wanted, a 5×7 tipper. This is where Trailers Direct (Mooloolaba) stood out from the rest. Price was similar OR LESS than some of the Brisbane suppliers I called, but the service was friendly and fast… and no need to drive to Brisbane to collect. They quoted a price with no up-selling as everything is a standard part of the deal, unlike other suppliers. I definitely recommend Trailers Direct

I bought a 8×5 trailer off Trailers Direct last week, I went in on a Friday at 4.15pm they showed me a trailer which was perfect for what I needed so placed the order there and then, they asked when I would like to pick it up, they said they it would be ready the following day (Saturday). I picked it up at 9.00am it was all set for me just to back up and hook it on, they fitted a 8in jocky wheel for me as well, (I thought the 6in was a bit small) it lso came with 12mths rego as well.

It was important for us to buy Australian made, these guys make their own trailers, they are top quality and very well priced. Theiri customer service was excellent. They do sell the imports if that’s the way you want to go but please consider supporting Australian made. These guys are a MUST If your in the market to buy a trailor.

We bought a duel axel, caged, hot dipped galvanised, override braked, 8×5 trailer in Dec 2020 (8 months old at the time of this review).
It drives straight and tows well.

We paid about $3200 and we very happy with the price given that everywhere else wanted between $6k and $7.5k for the same.

The owner was helpful enough as was the transaction.

The trailer is full of sharp galvanising and welds and has many offset joints (especiallyin the cage). There is also much weld splatter and the like not cleaned up before galv was put on.
It has many rub/exposed metal points (the owner gave us some galvanising paint to resolve).

The brakes needed adjusting immediately from purchase.
The rear right bearing needed tightening immediately from purchase or it would have been significantly damaged before I got home.
The towball coupling hitch screw thread was never adjustable immediately from purchase (I replaced this myself).
The trailer did not come with any reversing lamps (this is required by law)(the owner told me it is not required).

All in all, the trailer (though needed time and money to make safe and legal after purchase) is a worthy purchase and would buy from them again.

The trailer was the size I wanted, , it was available and didn’t have to be ordered in. It appears to be well built and came with extras which were add on’s with other brands I looked at.( eg spare wheel and jockey wheel). And importantly it was competitively priced.

Bruce was great – very knowledgeable and helpful from the time I met him to time of picking up my tailor made trailer. When I collected it, Bruce showed me different hooks and explained how they can be attached to the compartment to make most use of space. Lovely man, professional and polite.

Bought trailer from these guys love it. Mike was very helpful and made it very easy. Only complaint would be cage door hard to close as bolt was not lined up correctly. But over all very good compared to most looked at.

Mike was so easy to deal with. I had an issue with the compressor box and it was no problem to rectify it. Not only did he address and fix the problem but had it done in three days, which involved building a new compressor box with ramp.

These guys were AMAZING. They went through the whole trailer when I went to pick it up.

Happened to drive past Trailers Direct on the Sunshine Coast, sent online enquiry for quote with details of what I was after. Received prompt reply, accepted quote and able to pick up trailer just over a week later. Was talked through attaching trailer and other features before driving away. Great service, would recommend.

Trailers Direct is the best trailer company on the coast. There service is second to none. The whole proses was so smooth and hassle free. The finish on the trailer is very good. The only hassle I have had is the jockey wheel pins for the handle sometimes don’t line up with the holes. The only other suggestion I have is, with the canvas cover option. The bars that hold the peak shape in the middle are screwed to the side of the cage which does work ( and the bars are 25mm thick tube. So much better than the old thin rods.) but if you want to take them on and off a few times the screws will strip out. So i have put removable pins and a rubber strip to stop rattle. I still believe the best trailer around.

I ordered a 7×5 trailer and the day I was to pick it up I asked if I could change it to a 8 x 5. I was told no problem and the next day the 8×5 was ready to go.
Have used the trailer to move my ride on mower, with the tipper option on this trailer, I’ve been able to just drive it onto the trailer!. Very happy with the trailer and the friendly service. Thank you trailers Direct.

I researched trailers and sellers for a while and was stoked to find Trailers Direct. Brilliant price for Australian made and great quality. I needed help with buying the right trailer for my unusual cargo. They were forthcoming with time and info for me. Went home to do some measurements and rang them back to say which one I wanted. We had the best experience purchasing our trailer, we got great advice and the team are super friendly. The price of the trailers is crazy for how good they are.

Generally I found the product excellent. The tow ability on back of motor home was very smooth. I found no evidence of the manual brake device on the tow hitch had been greased. I feel like the steel construction would be complimented by a optional coating of rust prevention. e.g. fishalene. You could sub-contract such option (person like me retired engineer working in conjunction with trailers direct)

Bought an enclosed 8×5 trailer off them and very happy with it! Built tough and exactly what I wanted, only problem I had was wasn’t the colour I had ask for but I think that was just a communication problem between myself and mike. Had a hub cap fall off on way home and mike sent me out a new pair. Good customer service

Before I placed a review I gave it about six weeks to test out my trailer off road, (mud, water and rocky terrain), highway and heavy loading, I have to say the custom trailer handled well above expectations, sleeping in the rooftop tent was no problem, the trailer remained still with no rocking, I thought there would be a slight sway but it was solid. Highway travel was a breeze while being pulled by a Landcruiser. I ordered my trailer for specific needs which resulted in designing and making my trailer from the ground up. The workmanship is nothing less than quality, precision at its finest, one can tell that the crafters are experienced and knowledgeable. The paint finish can handle being knocked around which surprised me. The rep I spoke with, Mike, was professional, friendly and actually listened to what I wanted, he also put forward a few ideas which were pretty awesome and added to the trailer. The trailer wouldnt be as good as it is without his assistance. Mike is definitely an asset to the company along with the guys that built my trailer. Its not often I come across a company that has competant employees who actually care about the work they do. Thanks heaps guys.

Mike and the team where great to deal with, super easy and hassle free, modified the trailer to include a stone guard and tool box. Trailer tow’s excellent. (Trailer is 16ft tilt car trailer 3500kg). Highly recommend.
